Hollywood's Training Page
UPDATE:

Congratulations to Hollywood!  He has
successfully completed his training
program and is going home today,
February 29, 2008!!!

UPDATE:  When we heard that Hollywood
was for sale, we immediately purchased
him.  We plan to work with him a bit more
and show him off in some local parades!
Hollywood came to us with some ear
problems.  Chris Cox refers to it as a
"memory" problem, not so much an "ear"
problem.  We're using the fly mask to
desensitize his ears.  He was nervous at
first, but is willing to stand for us now.
Cantering in the round pen
working on collection. We're still
using the side reins as an aid in
Hollywood's collection.
Gradually, he's beginning to
lower his head.

Using buoy's to desensitize our horse is a safe and effective training tool
Here we have introduced
"buoy's" to Hollywood's training.
We want him to be comfortable
with things hanging from the
saddle and bumping into him.
This is a Clinton Anderson
training technique and it works
very well.
