We are currently accepting a limited number of horses for training.  If you need a
baby started or if your horse is giving you some problems, give a call or send an

GRADUATED:

Little Joe:  A 7 year old Quarter Horse ranch gelding.

Sangria:  A 3 year old Rocky Mountain filly.

Incognito:  A 5 year old Peruvian Paso gelding.

Hollywood:  A 7 year old palomino Quarter Horse gelding.

Mandalay:  A 3 year old AHA gelding out of "Versace".

Jolie:  Our 5 year old Standardbred mare.

Gus:  A 1/2 Arabian endurance gelding.

Our training philosophy is simple.  We realize that you can't "make" a horse do
anything.  Horses, like riders, need to be trained.  That process involves gaining
respect, forming a partnership and guiding the horse through a series of
exercises to achieve the desired result.

For example, we can't physically pull a horse into a horse trailer.  They're much
bigger and stronger than us.  We can, however, convince the horse that being in
the trailer is a great place to be.  We accomplish this by making him work and only
letting him rest when he is at the trailer door.  You'd be amazed how quickly the
horse realizes that being near the horse trailer is a really good place to be and
being inside the trailer is an even better place! Time and patience is the key to
success.

We want our horses to cooperate and work with us.  We don't want them to fear
us.  We do, however, want them to respect us.  Think of any successful
relationship in life and you'll probably see that it's based on mutual respect.  Not
fear.  Our relationships with our horse is no different.  Once we get past our own
egos, it's amazing what we can accomplish by working as a team.

We use the training methods of all the top trainers.
Clinton Anderson, Chris Cox,
John Lyons and others.  These horsemen all have proven track records and their
training methods are tried and true!  We're not trying to reinvent the wheel here.
Rather, we're using the knowledge that we've gained from the countries premier
horse trainers in our own training program.

Gus is a 1/2 Arab gelding who
recently entered our training
program.  He has exhibited some
"spooking" issues on trails and
has a tendency to "pull back"
when tied.  We will address these
issues over the next 30 days and
provide updates on this page.
We plan to start working on his
ground manners first.
